Anixter is seeking a CustomerService Buyer to

join our NSS – Network & Security Solutions Inventory Management Group in

our Glenview, IL office.

We are searching for an individual with a positive attitude and

exceptional time management skills to join our team. An ideal candidate will be

able to provide great internal support for our sales team as well as build on

external relationships with our suppliers all while placing numerous purchase

orders on a daily basis.

You

will have the opportunity to be responsible for contributing to the supply

chain process by:

· Coordinating the procurement of

non-standard material

· Managing the movement of goods

between distribution centers

· Supporting the needs of the sales

representatives within a designated region.

Additional responsibilitiesand duties include, but are not limited to:

· Partner with our sales team to

purchase material that Anixter does not currently have on hand within our

distribution network and ship direct to the end user or to one of our

warehouses across the U.S.

· Coordinate inventory deliveries with

sales representatives and warehouses to ensure we meet or exceed customer

expectations by solving any unexpected issues

· Remain responsive and committed to

high levels of customer service when communicating concerns or status changes

both internally and externally in regards to purchase orders

· Work with sales, accounts payable,

operations, product management, finance and project management to solve issues

and improve our quality policy

· Be accountable for any unresolved

discrepancies in terms of price changes, quantity updates, and freight issues

that may delay the placement of purchase orders

Requirements:

· Ability to quickly learn key systems,

efficiently multi-task, resolve problems in a timely manner, and adapt to new

technologies.

· Possess excellent communication,

organizational and interpersonal skills with a service-oriented nature.

· Ability to multi-task and thrive in a

fast-paced environment.

· Bachelors degree is preferred.

· Previous experience in data/order

entry & customer service is preferred.
