Anixter is seeking a Supply Chain Analystin our
Inventory Management groupat our global headquarters in
Glenview, IL. This position is responsible for the operational
procurement and the management of planning exceptions to ensure high
customer service and working capital optimization. You would also
be responsible for daily collaboration with suppliers to ensure
the inventory plan is executed flawlessly.
Releasepurchase orders into over 100 distribution centers and warehouses across NorthAmerica using a custom Oracle VCP workbench application
Review planningexceptions and work with suppliers to manage ship dates, coordinate expeditesand rescheduled orders to keep supply chain moving; provide unmatched customerservice while meeting working capital objectives.
Reduce theamount of excess & obsolete inventory by utilizing vendor return programs aswell as negotiating special returns and finding alternative outlets
Developand maintain relationships with suppliers; Monitor key supplier performancemetrics including on-time delivery and lead time variability, as well as leadtimes and capacity
Collaboratewith sales, accounts payable, operations, product management, finance, and theinventory planning team to solve issues and improve customer service
Questionand address inconsistencies and uncertainty in supplier performance andeffectiveness, collaborating in strategy with the inventory planning team andproduct management.
Qualifications & Skills Required
Bachelor’sdegree; supply chain related certifications or coursework in Business, SupplyChain, Operations, or Economics is a plus
Proficientwith Microsoft Office suite, including Access and Excel. Previous experience with planningapplications such as Oracle or SAP is a plus.
Excellentanalytical skills, with high standards of accuracy and quality. Detail oriented with strong decision makingskills.
Excellent verbaland written communication skills, both internally and externally, ability toeffectively interact with all levels of the organization
Haveexcellent customer service skills – able to resolve problems in a timely andefficient manner
