WESCO Developer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

WESCO Distribution, Inc., headquartered in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Developer. Position allows for the ability to work from home, with appropriate telecommuting systems. The Developer will be required to perform the following duties: (1) working on existing Digital Products, drive new product ideas, understand and enhance the current intelligent models and innovatively improve them; (2) working with business planners to propose innovative products and services that fully utilize the power of big data or that indicate the need for new data platforms and associated product/service functionality; (3) providing consultative guidance across Wesco businesses on how best to utilize data for business decision-making and build the organization’s mindset and capabilities needed to fully exploit this data as an asset; (4) acting as an insight incubator works autonomously to generate or shape new and highly critical business propositions that exploit and monetize big data research; (5) developing, managing and maintaining Machine Learning and Deep Learning infrastructure from pipelines and modeling to machine learning products and decision support; (6) demonstrating the ability to quickly understand new concepts-all the way down to the theorems—and to come out with original solutions to mathematical issues; (7) extracting data from databases (SQL, NoSQL) and performs data engineering tasks; (8) successfully deploys (impactful) Machine Learning solutions to large-scale production systems; (9) implementing and working with ML techniques, including supervised learning (regression, classification, SVM, etc.), unsupervised learning (clustering, association, PCA, etc.), and reinforcement learning (Q-learning, SARSA, etc.); (10) programing with experience and proficiency in one or more scientific programming languages: Python, C, C++, JavaScript, R, etc.; (11) working on deep learning techniques such as CNN, RNN, reinforcement learning, transformers, autoencoders, etc.; (12) communicating with the technical team, clients, and senior stakeholders through appropriate outputs/visualizations; (13) identifying patterns and relationships between complex entities and concepts through machine learning on graph databases/knowledge graphs; (14) working on advanced AI-infused search problems; and (15) identifying high-impact analytical problems and finds innovative ways to tackle these problems via data analysis, experimentation, and statistical modeling.

Position requires a bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or electrical engineering and three years of business process management experience with B2B domain distribution.

Three (3) years of experience required with each of the following: (1) budgeting and financial analysis, including experience in managing budgets, conducting financial forecasting, analyzing financial statements and reports, and using financial analysis tools to reduce expenses; (2) Ability to collect and interpret data and perform quantitative and qualitative analysis using Excel, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau, and Python tools; (3) designing and implementing data management systems, experience in creating and managing data models, developing and executing data integration and transformation workflows, and implementing data quality and governance frameworks. (4) analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing strategies to drive growth and improve profitability; (5) managing inventory levels and tracking stock movements, implementing inventory tracking systems, and conducting regular audits and analyses to optimize inventory levels; (6) forecasting sales volumes and revenue, including using historical data, market trends, and other factors to develop accurate sales forecasts; and (7) data collection and analysis, including identifying data sources, extracting relevant information, and transforming it into actionable insights that can inform decision-making and drive business outcomes.

Must have any experience with each of the following: (1) Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Machine Learning; (2) Azure Databricks, allowing for creating scalable and collaborative data analytics workflows using Apache Spark; (3) working with React JS, Angular JS, and Vue JS frameworks, including HTML and JavaScript, to develop interactive web applications; and in the following programming languages (Python, Java, C++, CSS, JavaScript, HTML); (4) the latest advancements in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, and AI, including Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Industrial IoT (IIoT), and Robotics; (5) Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), experience in creating and managing test plans, executing test cases, tracking defects, and generating reports, to ensure high software quality and effective software development processes; and (6) Azure Data Factory, providing tools for orchestrating data movement and processing across on-premises and cloud environments, using SQL, Stored Procedures, Data querying, Data Manipulation, and Management.
