Job Description


Anixter seeks a Business Development Manager with a strong background in sales and executive-level communication, work within the company to maximize revenue generated. This person defines

long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationship, identifies business opportunities, negotiates and closes business deals. This role involves positioning and promoting the partner value proposition, leading in account

development and expansion of opportunities, and reinforcing existing partner relationships in the local market space. The ideal candidate possesses:-

  • Strategic technical knowledge to brings value towards sales closure

  • Ability to sell physical surveillance solution – CCTV, VMS, Access Control systems.

  • Knowledge of cabling infrastructures is an advantage

Main responsibilities / Key goals

  • Responsible for Total Value Selling of Enterprise Solutions(ie.Structured Cabling or Security Surveillance Solutions)

  • Aggressively prospect and drive new sales, develop account plans and conduct sales calls at all levels of prospective organizations

  • Demand Creation – make cold and warm calls,find potential new customers and secure the deal

  • A percentage will be spent on prospecting and uncovering End User’s opportunities.Uncovered business opportunities will be coursed through our System Integrator/Installer-contractor channels.

  • Candidate is therefore expected to spend a percentage of his/her time supporting/managing Channel Business Partners

  • Provide clients with the infrastructure they need to support their core business, enhance their competitive advantage and provide value to their customers and shareholders

  • Work with the Sales coordinator, Global Account,and the regional marketing team to jointly formulate creative marketing plan that will provide support and value to the sales activities

  • Continually work with the regional support team to obtain and develop personal knowledge of key process and products to ensure that up to date, accurate information is provided to customers

  • To manage existing clients and ensure they stay satisfied and positive

  • Responsible for an annual booking/revenue with significant growth in subsequent years

  • Develop and execute sales strategy and tactics that maximize company’s opportunity within the customer environment

  • Along with sales planning, this position is responsible for forecast accuracy

  • Must have the sales skills and technical knowledge to make presentations and lead customer discussions to advance the sales process

  • Aggressively prospect and drive new sales, develop account plans and conduct sales calls at all levels of prospective organizations

  • Direct customer contact will comprise a major portion of this assignment. A percentage will be in prospecting and uncovering End User opportunities

Qualifications/education required

· Graduate

Diploma / Degree

· Fluent

in Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin(will be an advantage )

· Previous

sales experience of 3 years & above

· Specific

examples of closing large, strategic deals.

· Strong

leadership skills and selling solutions to large customers with deep

understanding of account buying cycles

· The

ability to cope with long lead generation and development while at the same

time managing the fast paced weekly sales commit process

· Ability

to develop relationships within assigned accounts and comfortable to access

higher management is a must

· Knowledge

of local IT industry and access to various industry movers/CxOs/players and

influencers will have an added advantage.

Attitude and/or particular aptitude

· Result

oriented with good track record in sales and development of accounts and

account penetration.

· Excellent

communications, presentation & interpersonal skills

· Good

negotiation skills and use of initiative.

· Analytical

with ability to influence customers

· Conscientious,

and highly motivated.

· Able

to work independently, must be a team player.

· Possesses

go-getter attitude and enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.

· Good

level of proficiency in written/conversational English
